Try all twelve, or pick one and start growing your online media empire today!
1 – Video
Video will make up 77% of all internet traffic in 2018, including streaming and downloads, according to Cisco’s Visual Networking Index. And a study by Aberdeen shows Marketers who use video grow revenue 49% faster than non-video users.
Multiply your reach and move up in the search engine rankings when you create videos of your posts and publish them on YouTube.
Create multimedia posts when you copy the embed code from your video and put it at the top of your post. Now you have a video and summary to serve people who prefer watching and listening to reading.
Prefer speaking to writing? You can also work backwards and turn videos into blog posts with the Youtube’s speech-to text-feature. It’s 100% free and automatically available with every video you upload.
2 – Tweet it!
Create copy bytes from all your posts and share them on Twitter. On WordPress, Ben Meredith’s Better Click to Tweet plugin makes it easy for all your visitors to share your content and website.
After you install the app, it takes only a moment to add your Twitter handle. Insert snippets from your posts into a standard shortcode, and the app automatically creates boxes to highlight your quotes for easy sharing.
3 – Create an ebook
How many blog posts and broadcast have you written?
Don’t let these go unused.
Bundle content from your most popular articles and broadcast emails. Organize and update your contents. Finally, add a table of contents and design a cover on Canva. Congratulations! You now have an ebook you can use as a product, thank you gift, freebie opt-in, or authority-builder.
4- Rewrite a post and turn it into a content upgrade to build your marketing email list.
Have you written a post that also serves as a valuable tutorial or reference guide? Consider having a designer make it into a beautiful PDF and turning it into a content upgrade (a.k.a. Freebie download).
For example, I could turn this blog post into a handy PDF, make a simple landing page, and run Facebook ads to it. Then I could offer or upsell to a related info-product or course.
If you use an email platform like Convertkit or MailChimp, you can repurpose articles to create a free email course as an opt-in for an info-products or Teachable course. Set up a form and automated 7-15 – email sequence. Grab the code and embed it in your related posts.

5 – Make An Infographic
Canva makes it easy to create a stunning infographic. It’s free and comes with templates that make it impressively easy. Canva’s templates, stock photos, and other graphic elements are either free or cost $1 each. You can also build your own template from scratch and upload your own pictures.
You can see and share my latest infographic at the bottom of this post.
6 – Record a Podcast
Record yourself reading your post and create a podcast – send it to iTunes, Google Play, and SoundCloud. You can do everything free of charge with your mic and free software. Record yourself on Zoom and download the MP3 or get to know Audacity so you can edit the details. Purchase inexpensive hosting or keep your files on archive.org. As with Video, you don’t want to store these on your WordPress site.

7 – Make a SlideShare
Use the slide deck you used for the video and expand the deck with quick text. For clear step by step instructions and free templates, check out this helpful tutorial from Hubspot.
8 – Re-post Your Content
Easiest hack ever. Repost your content on social media or upload it to an article directory. When you upload to LinkedIn, Medium, or BeBee, update your post with a new introduction. Also be sure to indicate where your article was first published. Medium makes this super-easy by automatically adding your original publishing details when it imports your post.
See how this post looks on Medium – don’t forget to clap!
9 – Expand a listicle
Create a new post for each list item. Then link each new post to the original. You now have a cornerstone piece and a content plan for the next month. Brilliant!
10 – Turn a group of related posts into a mini-course
Want to create a course that takes your readers beyond the scope of your free email opt-in course?
You can make a course about anything: digital photography, detox diets, raising tadpoles … or even about making courses!
Turn a group of related posts into video lessons and worksheets. Next, upload them to a Teachable account.
